Live Edge Bench

Live Edge Bench

$600.00

Come spend 2 days taking a live edge slab and turning it into a solid and functional bench.  We'll start by covering how to flatten a live edge slab with conventional woodworking tools.  Then we will take time to listen to the wood and see just exactly how the slab wants to be shaped.  Students will learn how to make perfect grain matched miters with mortise and tenon joinery.  We'll attach pre-made pedestals.  If the opportunity presents itself I'll demonstrate how to inlay a bow tie over a crack.  Finally students will sand and finish their benches to their hearts content.
